Savage Garden was my favorite band for the longest time. I suspected Darren was gay, but the fact he was married before (to a woman he's still very close to) threw me off. Why, I don't know. Truth be told, his song lyrics should have tipped us off long ago. Denial is a wonderful thing.

The band broke up in 2001 while at the peak of their success and Darren has since gone solo. Unfortunately he never did see the success on his own that he had as a band. I still think he's one of the most underrated talents out there. Truly, Madly, Deeply is still one of the most beautiful songs.
Now I'm just waiting for one of my other favorite singers, Anthony Callea, to finally come out. Perhaps this will spur him on.....
