This practice ended when a woman filed a lawsuit against the Sultan of Brunei (one of the richest men in the world, with a net worth of 50 billion dollars). The lawsuit was tossed out of court due to the immunity afforded a head of state. Before royal reps started recruiting these women, superstar entertainers were lured overseas to perform for the Sultan and his ‘wives’ for a whopping $1 million dollars per performance. Entertainers included: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. Another underground circuit exists, that is also quite lucrative for celebrities.

A magazine recently reported on this underground circuit. A-List Agents and personal managers are contacted by billionaire CEO’s, the CEO’s offer to pay the celebrity $500,000-$1 million dollars to appear at functions that take place on yachts or in palatial estates. The celebrity is paid this astronomical ‘appearance fee’ to show up for a 3 hour minimum just to be stared at by other guests. Only one famous African-American broke the glass ceiling and belongs to this exclusive club. Hint: An African American female.
