I think the only reason why tori is talking about Mom's friendship w/that guy is because she is trying to take some of the heat off of her after busting up two marriages to hook up w/the current Mr. tori. It's kinda funny to hear how tori had the ex kicked out of an awards show the same day her father had a stroke.

Isn't this the guy that her Mom apparently had the affair with? Isn't that where all of Tori's resentment is coming from? Kind of ironic considering what she's done herself!
It's all very, very sad. They always appeared like a happy family and it was quite evident that Tori was the apple of her father's eye. Like someone said earier, I'd bet he'd never predicted it would all end the way it did. The saddest part is that I'm sure Tori regrets ever having the estrangement knowing what she knows now. She'll live with that regret for the rest of her life. You can never get that precious time back.
