There's a saying "in the Old Country" that goes,
"Try to live your life in a way that wouldn't shame your grandmother if she were in the room." OK...so I haven't always lived up to that, obviously
, but I would also turn the phrase around to
"live my life in a way that wouldn't shame my kids" - it seem more effective for me anyways. I can't very well lecture my daughter on the perils of being a porn-queen whore if I were one myself, can I?
