Funny as it is, I agree that it would have been a much classier move if he'd just said nothing. But then again Nick isn't exactly known for his brains and class!

~But....he does (or did) give them impression of being more intelligent and/or classy than he is just from association with Jess and the Simpson clan! If it's true that their whole relationship was a set up, it was a brilliant plan for Nick.
