Haven't read the book, but the subject fascinates me.
Some of their stories are really sad -- the guy who played "Alfalfa" on
the ancient "Lil Rascals" series ended up killed in a domestic dispute,
whereas
William Holden (from
Bridge on the River Kwai) bled to death
when, drinking alone in a hotel room, he passed out and struck his head
on the corner of a table...there was too much alcohol in his system to
allow his blood to coagulate, so he bled to death.
