I hope you don't feel bad about it either (execpt for the hair color bills) b/c my poor mom has extremely thin blonde whispy hair that breaks before it gets past the top of her back and she's over 50 and been dying to have gray hairs grow in b/c they're so thick and much stronger than her hair is now, but I feel so badly for her, b/c once your hair starts thinning and breaking; its a slow down hill slide into the dreaded "old lady hair", so I hope she gets her wish and gets thicker gray hair soon, which of course she'll dye back to blonde.
