He may be a jerk, but he did write some great songs Back in the Day. Also, he was apparently devoted to his late wife, Linda, and seems to be a good family man. And I can't help but feel sorry for him having to deal with marital problems at his advanced age. I think he tried to replicate the happy domestic life he had with Linda and it seems to have backfired on him.
