The actress left their baby daughter Suri with a nanny for the Hollywood premiere of Mission Impossible III.
Since the birth she has been attending daily Scientology meetings — to help her lose her baby weight.
A source close to Katie said: “While Tom has been away promoting the movie, Katie has been visiting the Scientology centre every day.
“She is being given auditing about becoming a new mother and support in losing her baby weight in time for her summer wedding to Tom.
“She seems to have fallen under Scientology’s — and Tom’s — spell.
“Many friends and family are concerned how she has changed.
Katie, 27, was not supposed to talk during birth because of Cruise’s Scientology beliefs.
But she had plenty to say to fans after the couple arrived in a Bugatti Vevron supercar, with Tom at the wheel — naturally.
He guided her out of the world’s fastest production motor, grabbed her hand — then kissed her.
