If pitbulls were banned then they wouldn't be available for people to mistreat and torture in the first place. I don't care how many people say they are 'loving and cute' dogs, they are a menace to people and other animals. I'm especially pissed off about this at the moment as my dogs were attacked yesterday at our local dog park by a pitbull on a leash for chrissakes. It dragged the owner half way across the park, barking and drooling, and even though my dogs were smart enough to move away because they realised it was on a mission to hurt them, this bloody thing kept on coming, foaming at the mouth and intent on causing some serious damage. Just in time the owner managed to bring it under control and had the grace to apologise but excused it by saying the dog has 'anger management problems'. Well, so do I mate - so do I.......... I KNOW it's the owners fault, but if they didn't have access to these unpredictable dogs in the first place the problem would be solved. It's not like there aren't other breeds, although of course the nutters would just pick on dobermans or whatever instead.
