Gillian Anderson is pregnant with an alien, according to 'X-Files' fans. Earlier this week, it was revealed the actress - who played FBI agent Dana Scully in the cult sci-fi series - is expecting a baby with new boyfriend businessman Mark Griffiths.

However, 'X-Files' fans are convinced Anderson - who already has an 11-year-old daughter, Piper, from her first marriage to Canadian television art director Clyde Klotz - has been impregnated by extra-terrestrials. The sci-fi nuts have even been sending the flame-haired actress letters warning her that she is carrying an alien.

A source said: "Gillian thinks it's hilarious. 'X-Files' ended years ago but her fans are still obsessed."
Anderson's pregnancy has now been confirmed by her manager Connie Freiberg. Freiberg said: "Gillian is happy to announce that she is expecting her second child, due at the end of the year, with businessman Mark Griffiths." The pregnancy announcement comes just months after Anderson split from her husband, documentary maker Julian Ozanne.
