The world is not suddenly going to hell in a hand basket. We just hear about it now. Without internet, television, radio and print people carried on in ignorant bliss. The only time you worried about something was when it happened to you, when your comfort zone was threatened.
Like somebody else said, I want to know what Mommy was doing, children usually do follow the example set by their parents.
