I swear I've read 5'4/5'5 is 'average' but if 5'3/5'4 is now the new average then I'll take it!!!
I've always wanted to be a few inches taller.
My
true height is 5'5 but I've gotten so many different readings that it's seriously fucked with me.
My official medical records say I've been 5'5 since I was 10 years old. <---which is what I go by and my doctor had been my doctor since I was 3!
Another time I got my height taken I was 5'6...and then when I was training for the Air Force my recruiter kept telling me she was getting me at 5'4...which I KNOW for a fact wasn't right!
^The only reason this was made into as big a deal as it was was that that
1 inch difference completely put me in a tailspin of excessive dieting/exercise and fucked up my height/weight requirements. It ended up being okay though and I ended up going below what's required.
However, she assured me that it was their equipment and that it wasn't unusual to get people either an inch taller or shorter than normal.
