Incidentally, Gere's new wife, former LAw and Oder beauty Cary Loweel (meaning formerly of LaLw and Order, not formerly beautiful), has done a "Katie Holmes". She converted to Buddhism for hubby Gere, and even allowed Gere pal and spiritual mentor, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to perform secret buddhist blessing rituals over her unborn childern.
Cary seems to have lost her zest for acting after the Gere marriage. She still appears occasionally on Law and Order, as a female judge, though not neccesarily the same character she played on the hit NBC show years ago. Still lovely Cary will never have to work again, as the wife of Richard Gere, and the mother of his children. I'm sure he'll take better care of her financially, than "Sex and thge City" has of fellow LAO alum Chris "Mr Big" Noth.
