I like her, too. So many times people just assume that because you are an alchoholic or drug addict you do it 'for the fun of it'...most times it is to hide some deep seated hurt and mental problems...I think she had a fucked up childhood and drugs helped her cope. She didn't know any other way to dull the pain, and the drugs did that for her...I just hope that she and her daughter maintain an open relationship so she doesn't have to go down the same road later in life...
