Re: Crash winning Best Motion Picture one of the biggest Academy Awards upsets
I loved Crash, I'm glad it won. Racism was just the top layer of this movie. I thought it was more about how judgemental we are of one another. We see people as good or bad only rather than seeing people as multi-dimensional which is more accurate. The "good" characters did bad things and the "bad" characters did good. The racism made us form judgements about the characters and then we followed their actions through the movie. It was brilliant and I thought it deserved to win.
