I doubt she's a
horrible mother. I am sure she makes sure that the kids' needs are met and so forth. Perhaps during the time she spends with them she gives them her full attention. I just think...she sounds like she's a pretty selfish parent and her plan to adopt Mercy seemed like a way to make herself feel better, younger, etc. A kid is not a new puppy that you get to cheer yourself up, FFS.
