SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY and HEATHER MILLS MCCARTNEY's visit to Canada will not make any difference to plans for this year's (06) seal hunt.

The high-profile couple travelled to the country's Gulf Of St Lawrence region on Thursday (02MAR06) to bring media attention to the controversial seal slaughter there.

But Canadian officials insist the annual seal hunt will still take place, although its start faces delay as a result of dangerously thin ice.
