Crash was a good film, but not spectacular. As I seethed in another thread, it was way too hamfisted with the "racism is bad" motif, bashing the audience over the head with it when a more subtle approach would have been better.

Brokeback should have won, it was the better film by a long shot.

p.s. I'm glad Spielberg didn't win a damn thing.
