DONALD TRUMP is grateful his hit show THE APPRENTICE has quashed ongoing speculation he sports a hairpiece - after his locks survived extreme weather conditions on camera.

The property tycoon is fed up with accusations he masks a bare scalp and was thrilled when a gust of wind proved his mane's authenticity on a recent episode.

He tells MSNBC's The Scoop, "We had our first meeting inside a beautiful jet plane and then when we stepped outside the weather was really terrible and very windy.

"It proved only one thing. That it is actually my hair. It's not a hairpiece. Some day maybe, but not now."
