I thought that these hospital might be victorian, and when my dad worked in a victorian hospitan the double doors weren't particularly wide. Certainly difficult to get a bed through with e.g. monitors at the side, they had to go before or after,m depending on where the nurse stood with it.
In new hositals the double door ways seem to be 6-8ft wide..... certainly a LOT wider than victorian/older/etc hospitals.
