The character is written as being the son of a Scottish father and a Swiss mother, so Connery - a Scot- was correct casting.

I understand that there should be more parts for black actors, but I hate when established literary characters are changed. Someone can create a black 'double o' agent, but leave Bond as is.

That said, if there is ever a black Bond, a person that's attractive and can act should be cast.....not this disgusting mouth breather.

BTW...the first on screen Bond was an American....Barry Nelson in a 1954 TV version of Casino Royale.
