Josh Hartnett has an obsessed fan who dances sexily for him.

The heartthrob actor says he is shocked by the amount of female admirers he has and was stunned to discover he even has several besotted followers in his home town of Minnesota.

One fan, who lives opposite him, seductively gyrates in her window when she spots him at home and leaves him love letters.

Hartnett, who is romancing actress Scarlett Johansson, revealed: "This girl who lives across the way, she dances in her window for me and leaves notes in my mailbox."

He added to Britain's Sunday Times Culture magazine: "It turns out we have the same amount of little girls per capita as anywhere, and it's even worse because they don't see a whole lot of celebrities."
