oh, that's terrible. i agree with you sweetness, frances cobain does seem like a little doll. a pretty, sweet, well rounded girl. she certainly had her share of hard knocks. she's still just a kid. nobody knows what that girl had to endure growing up, and how the death of her father affected her. everyone is entitled to their opinions, but i guess i just don't find a problem with the theme of her party. it just seemed as if frances cobain was perhaps having a piss take with regard to the sweet 16 party debacles on mtv or vhi or whichever station that show is on. i remember reading a couple of interviews she had given and she didn't come across as a kid who would wantonly disrespect her dad.
i remember watching an interview with nirvana during the mtv video awards back in the early '90's. kurt cobain was holding his beautiful newborn daughter in his arms looking like such a happy, proud father- enchanted by his adorable baby. 16 years? was it really that long ago? oh lord, i feel old.
