I've heard that Liv is pretty sweet-natured as well. The
LotR cast and crew certainly seemed to love her, and that was a long and stressful shoot, so surely the full-time cast and crew would be on-edge enough already without a difficult-to-work-with co-star who was only on the set some of the time coming along and screwing everything up with bad bahaviour. I'm sure it would have leaked out if she were a bitch.
