What the hell is wrong with the world. Jessica Simpson just signed a deal that would assure her $35 million dollars for a five album deal with Columbia.

When you consider that individually, shes "only" getting $7m an album, and the megadeal is likely to mean she wont get any "points" on the profits it's not all that sweet. But at the same time, This is the woman whos sold "just" 14 Million albums globally in her career, which is all fine and well until you consider her pop rivals Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have sold 65 Million and 30 Million respectively.

Suddenly your wondering why in the name of jesus the leading cause for the mute button on MTV would be paid $35 million dollars to contiously inflict pain upon the world. I'd rather someone paid her $35m to sew her mouth together and walk around naked all the time. What makes even less sense to me about this deal is that Jessica Simpson never sings any of her own songs. She always has to murder old, good songs that are likely to not make the label all that much money.

All i can suggest in the way of an explaination is that Jessica Simpson gave the head of Columbia the best blowjob since that time he did it with his dog.
