Yeah. I agree, thats a cringe-worthy comment.

But as a news commentator said, in a way, it shows that Barack can work with people who might hold those sentiments. Its telling the American people that despite comments like that, Obama can work with him and be friends with him, and people like him. It goes into his whole idea of bringing people together to make things change. Could bring more people into the campaign, in a way.
