Madonna chooses Grammys over the Brits

Anglophile MADONNA has snubbed the Brit Awards this month (FEB06), to perform at the Grammys the day before.
The MATERIAL GIRL has been based in Britain since she began dating husband GUY RITCHIE in 1997.
But, despite receiving three nominations, including Best International Female Solo Artist and Best International Album for CONFESSIONS ON A DANCEFLOOR at the annual British music industry event, Madonna has chosen to perform at the Grammys in Los Angeles on 13 February (06), which takes place just 36 hours before the London bash - even though she has not received any Grammy nominations this year.
Madonna will open the Grammys with cartoon group GORILLAZ.
