I recently watched an old episode of the show Dinner for Five and it was from 2002 before Daredevil had come out and it had Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck amongst others. The show is known for being super casual and its premise is basically that you’re a fly on the wall listening to 5 random celebrities eat dinner together. I mention this episode because it was SO obvious that Jen was absolutely enamored with Ben back then. This was before they ever were even dating, let alone married with a child, but you could see that there was something going on there. I hate to admit it, but it was pretty obvious that they were really into each other. Even though they are actors, there are just certain things people can’t fake. They had a connection and she was downright giddy around him, it really surprised me based on how I've seen her in interviews.

Now this doesn’t necessarily mean they are in a happy marriage now, but watching that show reaffirmed me that, at one point at least, they genuinely seemed to like each other a lot. I don’t buy that it was a marriage of guilt or fame for either side. That being said, I wouldn't be surpised if they got a divorce either. They don’t seem to have that “spark” that they used to.
