Ben Affleck is in trouble either way, I think. It seems like he's tried to rehab his image as a family man, but that's a hard sell when you have a shotgun wedding!
He needs to focus on making more good movies.
But I seriously doubt he'd be the one to initiate leaving this marriage, at least not publicly- it would do too much damage to his image to be seen as a man leaving his wife and child.
Jennifer Garner's people have been much better at selling her as "America's Sweetheart" (although I don't know anyone here in the heartland who actually thinks much of her after all her bed-hopping, getting pregnant, having Michael Vartan fired from "Alias"), so I'd guess that she'd have to be the one who leaves.
Maybe Ben's pushing her out subtly? I've noticed that in some interviews she talks about how all he wants to do is sit around on the couch and that he doesn't notice her no matter what she wears. Perhaps she's tired of trying to pretend she has this "perfect life."
