Because it's hardly socialised anymore. The private sector has taken over huge sectors of it, and that's what killing it. Mismanagement by people who know fuck all about healthcare, and lots about profiteering. Then there's the rising numbers of infectious diseases that have become a major problem since cleaning was contracted out, again to private businesses.
