I probably would have watched it at 14 since I was reading some pretty racy stuff at that age but no way would I knowingly let my kid watch it at that age, just like my mum wouldn't have let me. Kids will see thigns they shouldn't but that doesn't mean adults need to sanction it. An eight year old watching it? Give me a break. Give her a bucket and spade and be done with it.
