Get into a basement. You try not to hide in the southwest corner, because that's usually where the tornado is coming from. If you don't have one, get into a closet or bathroom. What Roaseanne and her family did in that episode, though... it didn't necessarily look that smart to me. They were out in the open, and anything could've come in and hurt or killed them. But then again, it's a show, so they did it for the drama, but you don't want to be out in the open, during a tornado, nor do you wanna be in a car, or anywhere outside. If you're outside, hide in a ditch.
