As for high-heels, I don't wear them cause I can't think in them... something about the fear of falling over and breaking my ankle... oh and the searing pain of having my foot stuffed in a little shoe and teetering on tiptoes for the next few hours... argh!

I grew up pretty rurally, it was a challenge for mum to get our shoes on for school. I always used to walk around the house with no shoes, out to the mailbox with no shoes, in the backyard with no shoes and sometimes to the corner shop with no shoes.
Now that our population has dramatically increased and we're seen as a small city, not a 'town', that's changed. I just wear socks or thongs inside and thongs or uggs out to the mailbox.
