^OMG, AGREED!!!

I figured I would be the only person making comments similar to this!

Whenever a female actress loses a shit load of unnecessary weight to the point of looking unhealthy she automatically is 'anorexic' but when a male actor goes through the same thing it's either 'aids' 'cancer' or 'drugs'...OR 'method acting'.

While I'm not making the assumption that Colin Farrell has one- I'm just saying that men get eating disorders too!

Could another option be that he lost weight for this role and just took it a bit too far?

Absolutely.

I am the same way...very, very vocal about my support for the men who suffer with lesser known illnesses. I have suffered from eating disorders for over six years and there is plenty of information, media coverage and support for women but what about the men!? I'm much more adament in my speaking out for their suffering than anything else...but somebody DOES have to do it!

But it just does suck that people in general still seem to be completely oblivious in this day and age to the fact that men can be afflicted with anorexia and bulimia...*sigh*
