I am a rabid fan of food blogs and I especially like blogs focused on cookbooks [I collect them - cookbooks, not blogs. lol]. Anyway, I've heard a bit about the Julie/Julia Project over the years. Out of curiosity, I looked it up and this is what I found.

The Julie/Julia Project

If you click on the month under the calendar in the sidebar, the blog goes back month by month. I looked at it briefly and I wasn't impressed. I don't care for her writing and there are no pictures. A food blog with no pictures is a sad thing, imo. I really can't believe this was optioned for a book. I really can't.

Just for comparison ... here are two other blogs based on specific cookbooks. The first one is finished [I followed it from the beginning and she really did cook every single recipe!]. The second one is in its third year and is a work in progress.

Cookbook: How To Eat by Nigella Lawson - because the url automatically goes to the most recent page, this is the end of the blog, but if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you can click back and see the older entries.
