Regarding the clothes..it could be taking place in the eighties, or it could be that the character is STUCK in the eighties-which is not that improbable. For someone of Jim Carrey's age their 'prime' would have been back then most likely. It is easy to get 'stuck' like that. Of course not ME!

But if this was a twentysomething guy, then yeah I would say WTF? NO twentysomething gays dress like that in this day and age!!- unless they are seriously messed up!
