I've heard several stories about parents who adopt older (not infant) children and have serious problems with them.
I got chills just reading this. I can understand typical acting out and attention getting behavior in kids, but that girl seemed evil. Honestly, if it were me, the first time I heard her threaten me or one of my other children after displaying such sociopathic behavior, she'd be out of that house. I wouldn't feel safe having her there.
I think a lot of times Social Services knows that these kids are extremely disturbed or "not right" and purposefully keeps it from the adoptive parents, or lies about the extent of the situation, because they're so desperate to place them. It causes a bad situation for everyone involved.
