yeah. i saw it when it came out at the cinema even though i wasn't 18 yet and they actually checked ID because there was so much scandal surrounding the movie. had to get friends to buy my ticket.
i loved it even if it is hard to watch at times. i've seen all of larry clark's films and i know he gets criticised a lot for voyeurism and explicit sex scenes in his movies but i think that people that only see that in his films are missing the point and are too obsessed with that to see that he has made some amazing (if at times brutal) films and few directors can get such honest, natural performances out of young actors. i think it's the photographer in him - he started out as a photographer (mostly of skateboarders and street kids) and didn't start making movies until later on and it shows.
you should watch 'bully' and 'ken park' too, and 'another day in paradis' though that one is another genre altogether.
