Well, as I've said before, I don't think one murder deserves more punishment than another. One set of victim's families doesn't deserve more justice than another just because of the motive. Some victims should not be more valuable than another, so I do not support Hate Crime laws even though I understand the intent behind them. These laws do not discourage violent behavior they just make killers be sentenced differently. Should someone get more time for killing someone becasue they are gay than those parents who starved their baby for 8 days? Is it less cruel or horrific for some bored teenager to shoot the pizza delivery guy just because he wanted to see what it woud feel like?
This story is horrible and sad beyond belief.
