agree in general but i think 'no country for old men' deserverd every oscar and nomination it got. that movie blew me away. and it's not typical oscar-bait manipulative crap. on the contrary, there are no sweeping melodramatic moments, no excessive emotion, it's actually quite stark and quiet, despite the violence.
and i love tilda too. though i think cate deserved it just as much for 'i'm not there', which was IMO her best role so far.
still, i'm glad tilda finally got some recognition. god knows it's about time. she's a truly magnificent actress and a total original.
